Castle Hornberg

For many centuries, Castle Hornberg had been in feud of diocese of Speyer. In 1517, Götz of Berlichingen bought his only castle, Castle Hornberg. There, he spent 45 years of his eventful life and died in 1562.

His grandson sold the castle in 1612 to Freiherren of Gemmingen in whose ownership the castle still remains since 12 generations.

In the midst of the original and pure romantic of Castle Hornberg, in 1953 the former horse stable was rebuilt into the hotel-restaurant with its distinctive charm.

Get enchanted by the attractive contrast of past and present.

The castle complex and the wonderful surrounding invite you to go for a walk and to make excursions.

By combination of quality and tradition, Hotel-Restaurant Castle Hornberg is the perfect address for meetings (3 conference rooms), family celebrations, jubilees, company parties, receptions (4 function rooms) and weddings (woods chapel).
